Dates and fees for Tutor-led Business Modeling courses

Our next dates for Tutor-led Business Modeling courses with Kim Warren are below. Courses include live online webinars and direct contact with Kim to assist your progress. As for our self-paced courses you get lifetime access to materials and access to our forum where you can ask questions.

Business Modeling Core

By the end of this course you should understand how to start building quantified simulation models for any organisation or issue. Kim's daily webinars explain the practical and reliable "agile" modeling process by guiding you through the online videos and example models of the core modeling course (classes 1-4). Submit questions for class discussion, and get guidance on building your own case models. Allow 2-3 hours per day for private study plus about 1 hour for each webinar. (See class topics here)
Block week option: Jan 7-11, 2019. All webinars 2PM UTC (may also offer Asia-Pacific-friendly times, if enough demand). Token provided to end of January for the Sysdea modeling software £290: Register now
5 week option: Jan 15 to Feb 12, 2019 All webinars will be on Tuesdays at 2PM UTC (may also offer Asia-Pacific-friendly times, if enough demand). The course includes a 2 month token for the Sysdea software. £290: Register now

Business Modeling Extensions

(Requires previous completion of the Core Business Modeling course, either self-taught or tutored). By the end of this course you should understand and be able to apply important extensions to the skills acquired in the Core business-modeling course. These extensions enable you to build quantified simulation models for more complex organisations or issues. Six weekly webinars with Kim guide you through the many videos and models of the Extensions modeling course. The webinars highlight practical issues that arise in applying these powerful frameworks and provide guidance on your own cases. You should allow 2-3 hours per week for private study plus about 1 hour for the related webinar.

Terms and conditions

Certification and CPD

Our course management system records levels of activity on the course materials. CPD certificates can be provided, based on participation evidence.

Self-Taught courses

CPD hours quoted are based on the duration of the videos supplied with the course. A "certificate of attendance" quoting the CPD hours is available at the end of the course ONLY where there is evidence of attendance.

Instructor-Led course

In addition to attendance evidence as in the self-taught courses, a "certificate of completion" is given based on significant Forum contributions and webinar participation. (Without these additional items, a certificate for the self-taught course may still be issued, provided those requirements are met.)

Instructor-Led Plus Certificate of Competence

In addition to the elements in the instructor-led course participants will receive guidance in developing models for a simple case they choose. Please note that this is tuition (not consultancy) and is limited to a half-hour per class. This can be in the form of email Q&A or phone calls. You will also be asked to submit two forms of work for assessment [a] completed Worksheets of the course framework-models, and [b] a completed modeling assignment on a case of their own choice. If unable to complete, a certificate for the instructor-led course may still be issued, provided that the requirements for that more limited certificate are met.
Refunds

We offer a limited money-back guarantee. If within a week of signing up for a course with instant access elements you decide that the course is not for you, then you can request a refund. However, if our records show that you have accessed more than 15% of the course materials we reserve the right to make a pro-rata refund, based on the volume of materials accessed. No refund will be available if more than 50% has been accessed.
